What We Do

Bespoke Words recognises that sharing your story, and why you do what you do, is important, but not always easy. While you might be a pro at what you do, this is what we do well. We will work with you to tell your stories, finding the best quotes, phrases, and words to get the message out. 

 

A wordsmith is much like a blacksmith, working with raw materials to create something both beautiful and practical. Only instead of an anvil and tools, Katherine has a laptop and a creative brain. We are just waiting to get to work for you.

Katherine Whittaker has a way with words. Ever since she made her own newspaper at age 12, tying it together with pink wool, she has had a long love affair with letters.

 

A decade in journalism at newspapers including The Press, The New Zealand Herald and the Bay of Plenty Times, offered the chance to hone her skills. A career in communications, specialising in health and the arts, followed.

 

Katherine still loves working with words and making them work for others. She can turn her hand to all sorts of written work, from blogs to reports, from articles to social media, and she specialises in proofing copy with a whip-smart eye for detail.
